Formatting a Table for Printing
Overview
This article describes how to format a table in a CAF application view to prepare it for printing.
The sample that illustrates this use case has a main view that contains a table with two buttons, Print and Print Special. When a user clicks either of the buttons, the application opens a new browser window that displays the table in a format that is suitable for printing. The new browser window does not use a shell.
In addition to opening a new browser window with the table formatted for printing, the application also opens the Print dialog.
To follow the sample, first perform the Prerequisite Setup; then, follow the steps to create the sample that illustrates this use case:
* Step 1: Build the Main View with the Table and Print Buttons
* Step 2: Build the Print View that Formats that Data into a Single Table
* Step 3: Build the Print Special View that Formats Data into Multiple Tables
